Policy on Food Allergies and Vegetarian / Gluten-Free Accommodations
At Nouvelle Époque at Hotel Okura Kyoto Okazaki Bettei, we offer set-course menus. Therefore, we kindly ask that you inform us in advance of any food allergies, as well as the number of guests affected.
This also applies to guests with specific dietary restrictions, guests who are pregnant and must avoid raw foods or caffeine, and guests who are unable to consume alcohol (which may be used in our dishes).
We kindly request that you confirm these details with all members of your party in advance and inform us accordingly.
Please note that requests made on the day of your visit, requests regarding food preferences, or certain types of food allergies may not be accommodated. We appreciate your kind understanding in advance.

As all dishes at our hotel are prepared in the same kitchen, there is a possibility that trace amounts of allergens may be present due to processing or cooking procedures (cross-contamination).
In addition, cooking equipment, utensils, and tableware are shared with other menu items. - We kindly ask that guests make their own judgment regarding dining at our establishment after considering the above information.
- Please note that any information provided by guests regarding allergies or dietary restrictions is considered personal information and will be used solely for the purpose of accommodating your request.

We appreciate your understanding that we may have difficulty accommodating requests in the following cases:
①When multiple allergens are involved, including but not limited to a wide range of ingredients such as meats, seafood, carbohydrates, dairy products, vegetables, or fruits, rather than a single specific item.
This also includes cases where broths or stocks made from meat, seafood, or aromatic vegetables (such as leeks or green onions) cannot be consumed.
②When frequently used ingredients such as wheat, eggs, olive oil, or dairy products cannot be consumed.
③When handling allergenic ingredients within the same kitchen is not acceptable, depending on the type of allergen. -
Regarding vegetarian or gluten-free requests, we kindly ask that you contact us in advance (at least 7 days prior to your desired dining date).
After reviewing the course menu available during your requested period, we will inform you whether accommodation is possible.
